Challenge Roth is the “heart of the triathlon”. With around 3,100 individual starters and 600 relay teams from over 50 nations, a top field of starters and far more than 150,000 spectators along the course, the Challenge Roth is the world’s biggest long-distance triathlon event in the world.

The beautiful Franconian countryside, the lovely people and the professional volunteers create the typical Challenge-family atmosphere. Nowhere else in the world can the athletes get a beer on course, given by the audience!

Records have been made here and Chrissie Wellington explains it perfectly: “Roth-one of the oldest and simply the best triathlon race in the world”.

Challenge Roth is part of the Challenge Family series that features 13 races across three continents. The Challenge Family is the original family in triathlon and its rapid emergence as one of the leading triathlon organisations wouldn't have been possible without the support of the athletes who come to Challenge races for the unique atmosphere, exceptional races and the true sense of being part of a larger family that puts the athlete first.
